Supernal, a division of Hyundai Motor Group, is an Advanced Air Mobility company developing an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle and the ground-to-air ecosystem to support the emerging industry.

A new company spearheading an entirely new form of mobility, Supernal needed to build their entire brand from the ground up. It was a multi-year project, but we created and oversaw everything - from the tagline, to the brand ID, to campaigns and enormous experiential events.

 
 

TAGLINE

Rise above.

Supernal required a tagline that encapsulated their mission to solve the world’s mobility challenges - congestion, pollution, inaccessibility, inconvenience  - and simultaneously inspire consumers while rallying their employees to tackle the challenges ahead. 

The tagline project was of such importance to Supernal it was personally overseen by CEO Dr. Jaiwon Shin. Our solution, “Rise above.” was an instant success and remains a source of pride for the company.

 
 

WEBSITE

Supernal needed their website, supernal.aero, to serve multiple purposes. It had to educate and inspire the public, provide information for legislators seeking to adopt AAM,  offer resources for the press and, of course, position Supernal as a leader in the industry.

We wrote the copy, provided the content and worked closely with the web developer to make sure the site was a shining example of Supernal’s brand. Visit supernal.aero

 
 

BRAND VIDEO

We created and produced this brand video to launch Supernal’s first electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle at CES 2024. A combination of live action and CGI, with a $1.5 million budget, this video introduced Supernal, explained the concept of Advanced Air Mobility, and revealed Supernal’s all-new aircraft design to a curious world.

 
 

BRAND IDENTITY

Supernal was starting from scratch, so we created their look and feel, established their brand voice, and built an entire brand book to codify the guidelines we defined. Throughout all of this, our goal was to ensure the brand emanated a sense of leadership with a sophisticated, thoughtful and optimistic personality.

 

SOCIAL MEDIA

When we first began working with them, Supernal had a LinkedIn page but little to populate it with. We helped develop monthly social media plans and created nearly all of their social content including: an evergreen “Perspectives” employee interview campaign, infographics, tech announcements and more.

 
 

EXPERIENTIAL - CES & AIRSHOWS

As an aerospace leader, Supernal attends numerous airshows and trade shows. We handled the branding for all of these events. Perhaps the largest and most important of these was the company’s presence at CES 2024 in Las Vegas.

To unveil their new aircraft to the world, Supernal created a full-scale prototype of the S-A2 aircraft and an enormous flight simulator – and put it all in a life-sized vertiport in the parking lot of CES. We worked with their various experiential partners to bring their brand to life at the show. It was here that we unveiled our new tagline as well as the brand video described above.
